Grace Bowman was born in Durham city in 1977. She went to Queens' College, Cambridge University in 1997 to read English.

Thin is Grace's first book. It was first published in hardback as A Shape of My Own in March 2006.

She now works as a writer and speaker - with a particular focus on women's issues - and lives in St Albans with her husband Max.
